What is a TENS machine?

A TENS machine (or nerve stimulator), is a portable electrical impulse generator connected to electrodes placed on your skin.

A TENS machine works by delivering small electrical impulses to relieve nerve, muscle, or joint pain, offering you pain relief anytime you need.

TENS machines offer you a non-invasive, drug-free method of pain relief. They can be used up to 3 times per day, for a maximum of 30 minutes, and they offer pre-set programmes for specific parts of the body as well as fully customizable treatments targeting your individual needs.

Here’s how to use TENS machines in 3 simple steps

Place the pads 2,5 cm from each other on dry, clean skin. Next, turn on your OMRON TENS unit and press the “set/start” button to make your selection. Finally, select the level of intensity that you need. You should start from a lower intensity until you feel that it is having a beneficial effect whilst still comfortable.
